DEKALB — Three DeKalb businesses were cited after reportedly failing recent alcohol compliance checks conducted by the DeKalb Police Department and Illinois Liquor Control Commission. Out of 26 establishments tested on Oct. 15 and Nov. 5, Ellwood Steakhouse at 2219 Sycamore Road, American Liquor at 159 West Lincoln Highway, and Pizza Villa at 824 West Lincoln Highway were found to have allegedly sold alcohol to minors. Employees at those locations were issued violation notices.
