The Chicago White Sox are back in first place in the AL Central Division following a 3-1 win over the Detroit Tigers on Thursday night.
The White Sox are tied with Cleveland for the top spot in the division.
Chicago got all of their runs in the first inning on a 3-run home run from Munetaka Murakami.
They had only 5 hits in the game.
Bryan Hudson got the win in relief. Grant Taylor got the final 7 outs for his 9th save for the season.
Game 2 in the series is Friday night at Rate Field.
