The Blackhawks opened up training camp on Thursday. The Hawks missed the playoffs last season for the sixth straight year. The ended the season with 29-39 and 14 record. Star player Connor Bedard is expected to be out until November as he recovers from shoulder surgery. The Hawks open the preseason on Saturday night against the Wild in Minnesota. The season opener is on September 29th against the Golden Knights in Las Vegas. The home opener is October 6th with a matchup with the St. Louis Blues.
