CHICAGO – The average regular unleaded gas price in Illinois has surpassed $4.85 per gallon and is now more than a dollar thirty higher than it was one year ago. AAA listed the average price on Friday at $4.86, up from $4.50 last week. The Illinois average one month ago was $4.30. The average one year ago was $3.42.
Illinois’ average is nearly 40 cents higher than the national average of $4.47. AAA listed Indiana’s average price for regular unleaded on Tuesday at $3.99. Gasoline prices locally show DeKalb County at $4.86, Lee County at $4.79, and Ogle County at $4.80 per gallon.
