The Byron Tigers are 1 win away from playing in their 6th state championship game in Class 3A football when they take on Richmond-Burton Saturday afternoon in the Semi-Finals.
Both Teams come into the game at (12-0). The Semi-Final game will be played at Richmond and can be heard on The Coyote and 1023thecoyote.com with the Pre-Game Show at 1:30.
Byron is led by 2 All-State players. Caden Considine has rushed for 1,463 yards and 28 touchdowns along with 63 tackles on defense.
Quarterback Andrew Talbert had rushed for 492 yards and 9 TD’s and has 4 interceptions at safety.
Richmond-Burton also had 2 All-State players in Hunter Carley and Blake Livdahl. Both are running backs and linebackers.
The winner of Saturday’s game will play either Tolono Unity (11-1) or St. Joseph Ogden (8-4) in the Class 3A Championship Game next Friday at Hancock Stadium in Normal.
