STILLMAN VALLEY — A 17-year-old driver was involved in a single vehicle crash after striking a deer Monday night in the 6000 block of East Macklin Road near Stillman Valley. Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies said the SUV was traveling west on East Macklin Road when a deer entered the roadway, causing the vehicle to leave the road and roll into the north ditch. The driver was evaluated at the scene by Stillman Valley EMS for minor injuries and declined additional medical treatment. Stillman Valley Fire and EMS assisted at the scene, and no citations were issued.
