SYCAMORE — DeKalb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded Wednesday to a crash on Five Points Road south of Baseline Road where a passenger vehicle driven by a 16-year-old Genoa teen reportedly left the road, flipped into a ditch, and trapped the driver underneath the vehicle. Deputies, EMS, fire personnel, and bystanders lifted the vehicle to free the teen, who was allegedly not wearing a seatbelt and suffered major injuries. They were transported to Kishwaukee Hospital by Genoa-Kingston EMS. The crash remains under investigation.
