Sycamore School Board Approves Sale of Former Administration Center

SYCAMORE – Sycamore Community School District 427 has approved the sale of its former Administration Center at 245 W. Exchange Street for $151,000, an increase of $60,000 from a previously rejected bid in May 2025. The district completed the sale of its District Warehouse at 520 Maple Street earlier this year for $468,000. The former Administration Center, originally built in 1926 as a school and later used for administrative offices, follows the district’s 2024 purchase of the former Nicor Gas Call Center at 1947 Bethany Road, which now serves as the District Administration Center.
