SYCAMORE – The 64th annual Sycamore Pumpkin Festival runs today through Sunday, Oct. 26, with events across downtown Sycamore.
Parade Co-Chair Terri Goodman said, “ We have been going on for 64 years. We have craft shows, three different ones that run across Friday, Saturday, Sunday. All the food vendors downtown will be open starting on Friday through Sunday, Saturday. We have our kids entertainment, our marquee events for the kids between 11 and one. The Pumpkin Parade on Sunday, that steps off at 1:00 PM.”
The festival kicks off today with pumpkin check-in from noon to 9 p.m. and the Giant Cake Cutting Ceremony at 5 p.m., featuring a cake from Hy-Vee. Thursday includes the Kiwanis Prayer Breakfast, citywide trick-or-treat along State Street, and pumpkin-themed crafts at the Sycamore Public Library. Friday through Sunday features teen and kiddie carnivals, craft shows, pancake breakfasts, pie-eating contests, a golf scramble, historic homes tour, and children’s entertainment from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more details visit SycamorePumkinFestival.com.
