State Police Continue To Investigate Officer-Involved Shooting In Savanna

SAVANNA —  State police continue to investigate an officer-involved shooting in Savanna last week.  Authorities say officers located a suspected stolen vehicle being driven by Mark Feltmeyer near Savanna during the early morning hours of June 26th.  Officers chased the vehicle before Feltmeyer came to a stop near the intersection of Webster and Main Street.  He was shot by officers trying to arrest him.  The pursuit continued, but ended near the intersection of Chicago Avenue and Gilbert Street.  Feltmeyer was transported to an area hospital.  He has since been released and now faces multiple charges, including possession of a stolen vehicle and criminal damage to government supported property.
