SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Human Services said it is restoring full USDA Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits now that the federal shutdown has ended, expecting all recipients to receive their remaining November payments by Nov. 20, after a lapse in federal funding allegedly created hardship for about 1.9 million Illinois residents and businesses that rely on the program, with additional SNAP information and food resources available through the agency’s SNAP Federal Impact Center.
