ROCHELLE — Rochelle Township High School is pursuing a state grant to update its 21-year-old fire alarm system, using $50,000 from the operations budget to match a potential $50,000 award. District Business Manager Kevin Dale noted that they have had a difficult time making repairs to the system that is becoming functionally obsolete. The board also continues to look into solar energy options and conducted a first reading of an updated risk management plan to strengthen safety and operational procedures.
