Rockford Sees Second Highest November Snowfall

ROCKFORD — Rockford recorded eight inches of snow on Saturday, the city’s second highest November day snowfall on record. The record was set on November 25, 2018, with more than eleven inches. More snow is expected today, with a winter weather advisory starting at 2 pm and lasting until midnight.  We could see an additional two to four inches of snow and roads may become slick once again. Ogle County deputies responded to 20 vehicles in ditches and four crashes during the storm over the weekend. IDOT says it has nearly 1,900 trucks and equipment ready to plow and spread salt across more than 45,000 lane miles across the state and reminds drivers to give plows plenty of space.
