Rockford Man Arrested on Child Exploitation Charges

ROCKFORD — Illinois State Police on Wednesday arrested 32-year-old Nicholas Ortiz-Hansen of Rockford on charges of solicitation of child sexual abuse materials, grooming, and enticement of a child to remove clothes. Investigators executed a search warrant at his home on Alma Drive on Oct. 2 and found electronic evidence containing child sexual abuse materials. Ortiz-Hansen was taken to the Winnebago County Jail and remains in custody. The investigation was assisted by several local agencies and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.
