ROCKFALLS — A 37-year-old Rock Falls woman is accused of attempted carjacking. The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office says Samara Russell tried to carjack a driver who was traveling with a child in their vehicle yesterday morning in the 28-thousand block of West Thome Road in Rock Falls. When deputies were trying to arrest the suspect, she attempted to disarm one of the deputies before being taken into custody. Russell faces multiple charges, including vehicular invasion and aggravated battery to a peace officer.
