Rochelle to Lease Tech Center Space to DNA Communications

ROCHELLE — The City of Rochelle plans to enter a collocation and VLAN transport service agreement with DNA Communications, allowing the company to lease space within the Rochelle Tech Center. The arrangement will enable DNA to provide internet and phone services to customers across the RMU service territory using the city’s fiber infrastructure, offering redundant provider options for customers. The leased space will also allow DNA to expand services such as offsite backups. City officials say the agreement is a revenue-generating opportunity and supports efforts to repopulate unused data center space.
