ROCK FALLS — Rochelle’s Junior League baseball team earned a 23 to 3 win over Freeport in four innings Tuesday in district tournament play, scoring nine runs in both the second and third innings while finishing with 17 hits. Rochelle’s 8 to 10 year old baseball team also picked up a victory, defeating Freeport 13 to 6 behind a 14 hit performance. In 8 to 10 year old softball, Rock Falls beat Rochelle 18 to 5 in four innings after building a 9 to 1 lead through two innings. Rochelle collected five hits in the loss. All three Rochelle teams return to district tournament action Wednesday at 6 p.m.
