Rochelle Seeks Proposals To Redevelop Technology Parkway Lot

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle City Council approved a request for proposals process last week to find a developer for a city owned vacant lot on Technology Parkway. The property covers about 3.79 acres and is zoned B 2 Commercial Highway. The parcel is identified as Lot 6 on the final plat. City officials say seeking proposals for the property is part of efforts to encourage commercial growth and redevelopment along the corridor. The proposed ordinance would authorize the city to dispose of the surplus property through the RFP process.
