ROCHELLE — Prescott Brothers Ford, in partnership with 102.3 The Coyote and Superhits 93.5, will hold its annual 2-Ton Food Drive on Nov. 20 to support the Rochelle Christian Food Pantry. The event runs from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Prescott Brothers Ford, where residents can drop off nonperishable food or make monetary donations to help restock pantry shelves ahead of the holidays. Organizers hope to raise $20,000 and collect two tons of food after last year’s drive brought in more than $16,000. Chad Young with Prescott Brothers Ford in Rochelle notes that for every dollar donated, the food pantry can stretch that into $7 of food purchased.
“Every monetary donation that we can get is going to go a long way. We got a huge lofty goal this year and we’re excited,” he said. “We’re ramped up. We’re ready to have a great day. That’s for sure.”
