ROCHELLE — The City of Rochelle has approved several ordinances abating 2025 property taxes for General Obligation Bonds, covering electric system improvements, downtown and gateway redevelopment, and infrastructure projects. Debt service on the bonds, including Series 2023, 2022, 2021, 2018, and 2013 bonds, will be paid through designated city funds instead of property taxes when sufficient funds are available. The ordinances were passed last Monday night and will be forwarded to Lee and Ogle counties.
