ROCHELLE – The City of Rochelle has appointed Matt Hoffman as its new finance director. Hoffman previously served as assistant finance director for the Village of Lake in the Hills, where he managed accounting functions, audits, and budget development. City officials said Hoffman’s background in municipal finance aligns with Rochelle’s focus on fiscal responsibility and transparency. He will oversee budgeting, auditing, and long-term financial planning for the city.
City Manager Jeff Fiegenschuh said “Not only is he qualified financially but just he would make a good member of the team and he would bring a lot of different new input in but also he was a good fit with a lot of the staff.”
Hoffman begins November 3 and will work with city leaders on budget development and year-end audit preparation.
