Rochelle Adds Additional Street Work Through Storm Sewer Repair Contract

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle City Council approved a change order last week of up to $178,000 for additional street resurfacing work connected to the city’s North 14th Street storm sewer improvements project. City officials said engineering and public works staff identified several nearby streets and areas within the city cemetery that need pavement work. The additional resurfacing would be completed through the city’s existing contract with Martin and Company Excavating. Officials said the added work would extend the project timeline by about four weeks, with completion expected by June 30.
