Renovations Underway Across DeKalb Park District

DEKALB — The DeKalb Park District is carrying out several capital improvement projects across its facilities, including flooring and interior renovations at the Sports and Recreation Center, a new irrigation system and expanded driving range tee at Buena Vista Golf Course, updates to the League of Women Voters Park, and renovations at the Hopkins Park outdoor pool. Work at the Sports and Recreation Center has included second-floor flooring, epoxy resurfacing on the first floor, and ongoing lobby and stair improvements. Buena Vista’s irrigation system is being replaced with new mainline and smaller pipes, while bentgrass is being added to the driving range. League of Women Voters Park has received safety fencing, playground removal, and groundwork for new equipment and paving. Hopkins Park outdoor pool construction includes a zero-depth pool, spray ground, slides, locker rooms, underground plumbing, electrical work, and exterior masonry, with completion expected in summer 2026.
