CHICAGO — Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul secured a federal court ruling this week that vacated the Trump administration order that indefinitely halted all federal approvals for wind energy projects, after a coalition of states challenged the freeze as unlawful and harmful to their clean energy plans, with the court finding the actions arbitrary and capricious and contrary to law, clearing the way for continued development of onshore and offshore wind power in Illinois and other states.
