OREGON – A 32-year-old Poplar Grove man was taken into custody after a vehicle allegedly fled from the Oregon Police Department Saturday night. Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies reportedly located Jarett S. Moriarity on foot in the 4000 block of Illinois Route 2 and took him into custody. The vehicle was found a short time later after becoming stuck on a concrete box culvert nearby. Moriarity was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of drugs or a combination of drugs and driving under the combined influence of alcohol, other drugs or intoxicating compounds. He was also cited for improper backing, speeding more than 35 mph over the limit and being a pedestrian in the roadway while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Moriarity faces additional charges from the Oregon Police Department. He was taken to the Ogle County Jail and later released on a notice to appear with a future court date.
