Pickup Truck Crashes Into Semi On I-39 In Ogle County

MONROE CENTER – A pickup truck driver was injured Monday morning after crashing into the rear of a semi on northbound I-39 near milepost 104 in Lynnville Township. Illinois State Police said the crash happened around 10:22 a.m. in a construction zone when the pickup allegedly failed to reduce speed and struck the semi. The driver was taken to an area hospital in unknown condition.. Monroe Township Fire, Lynn Scott Rock Fire Protection District, Maggio Truck Center, Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police, Mercyhealth Prehospital MD1 and Rochelle Fire Department responded to the crash.
