MOLINE – The man charged with the murder of Trudy Appleby wants a bench trial. Jamison Fisher waived his right to a jury trial during a status hearing yesterday, choosing a judge to decide his fate. Fisher is accused of abducting 11-year-old Trudy Appleby from her Moline home in August 1996 and strangling her to death. Her body has never been found.
