Over 200 Chicago Flights Delayed At O’Hare And Midway Airports

CHICAGO –  Over 200 flight delays are reported at Chicago’s airports due to staffing shortages today.  The issue is a result of the federal government shutdown that has caused flight disruptions and ground delays at O’Hare and Midway Airports.  As of 11:30 a.m. 210 flight delays were reported at O’Hare over a 24-hour period, with 23 reported at Midway.  By noon, the number increased to more than 250.  The delays are surfacing as thousands of runners from across the country and the world are flying into Chicago for the 2025 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, which will be held on Sunday.
