OREGON – The City of Oregon is seeking public input on a potential pedestrian path improvement along the 100 block of South Third Street. The city is considering an Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program grant that could help fund the project while preserving local money for other sidewalk and infrastructure needs. Residents are being asked to complete a short survey about how they use the area and which pedestrian connections are important to them. The city said public feedback will also help demonstrate community interest as it seeks outside funding for the project.
