Habitat Homeownership Meetings Set for Rochelle

ROCHELLE – Habitat for Humanity of Ogle County will hold informational meetings for people interested in applying for homeownership through its program. The meetings will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, and 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at The REC Center, 802 Jones Road in Rochelle. The organization plans to build its next home in Rochelle. Habitat homes are not free, and selected families partner with the organization to build a decent and affordable home. Applicants are considered based on housing need, the ability to afford a mortgage and a willingness to help build their own home.
