OREGON — The Oregon Public Works Department will conduct an additional citywide brush pickup Monday, Aug. 17, because of the amount of tree debris left by recent storms. Residents should place brush at the terrace by 7 a.m. Brush must be larger than 1 inch in diameter, while smaller branches are considered yard waste. Brush should be stacked parallel and as close to the curb as possible and must not be placed in the street. Piles cannot exceed 4 feet high, 4 feet deep or 12 feet long, and there should be 1 foot between piles. Brush should not be placed under low hanging trees, around utility poles, behind obstructions or on top of water valves. Improperly stacked brush and yard waste will not be collected.
