Oregon Area Chamber To Suspend Operations At End Of Year

OREGON— The Oregon Area Chamber of Commerce announced it will suspend operations effective December 31, 2025, citing several years of financial challenges that made its current business model unsustainable. The Chamber said it reduced expenses through the sale of its building, relocation to Phelps Plaza, software cuts, and reduced staff hours, but the organization’s structure has become less relevant. The Board of Directors will remain in place as it considers restructuring or possible dissolution, and the Chamber plans to communicate next steps to members and return any dues collected for 2026. The board thanked members, partners, volunteers, and the community for their support and said the Oregon area remains strong, resilient, and full of potential.
