Ogle County Reports $76,465 in Avoided Utility Costs


OREGON — Ogle County Board members reviewed a yearlong energy program showing $76,465 in avoided utility costs across several county buildings. Alpha Controls reported electricity and natural gas reductions ranging from 17 to 26 percent depending on the site, with all work funded through utility incentives and no county dollars used. Members noted the improvements from updated lighting and controls and asked for continued tracking as the county monitors long term savings.
