New Illinois Highway Map Features La Moille Sunset

SPRINGFIELD — The Illinois Department of Transportation has released the latest Illinois Official Highway Map, featuring a sunset along U.S. 34 near La Moille on its cover. The map includes updated listings for colleges, Amtrak service, tourist attractions, and recreational areas, and highlights next year’s 100th anniversary of Route 66. Submitted by IDOT Region 2 Engineer Trisha Thompson, the photo was the winner of the department’s employee map cover contest. The biannual map also includes QR codes for travel information and is printed on recycled paper with vegetable-oil-based inks. Free copies are available at IDOT facilities, interstate rest areas, or by contacting DOT.maps@illinois.gov.
