ROCHELLE — The Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District board swore in new commissioner Melody Worthington during its Monday night meeting at The REC Center. Worthington will finish the remaining six weeks of an unexpired term. The board also received updates on facility repairs and operations, including completed sound system repairs at the recreation center, winter maintenance projects, and the approved purchase of new cardio equipment totaling $12,343 after a treadmill failure. Additional updates included strong attendance at middle school travel basketball, new recreation and fitness programs, upcoming in house lifeguard training, and approval to repaint the Spring Lake Pool this spring.
