OGLE COUNTY — Ogle County Sheriff deputies responded around 6:15 p.m. Friday to a single vehicle rollover crash with injuries on North Rock City Road at West Coffman Road. Deputies said an SUV driven by a 42-year-old Mount Morris woman was southbound when it allegedly failed to navigate a curve for unknown reasons and left the roadway. The vehicle briefly became airborne, landed in a cornfield, and overturned multiple times. The driver and a 48-year-old Mount Morris man who was a passenger suffered serious injuries and were taken to an area hospital for treatment. The driver was arrested for DUI Any Amount of Drug or Intoxicating Compound and was cited for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. She was released on a notice to appear with a future court date. German Valley Fire EMS, Forreston Fire EMS, and Illinois State Police assisted at the scene.
