POLO – A 57-year-old Moline man was injured Monday morning in a two vehicle crash at Freeport Road and Illinois Route 64. The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office says he was driving northbound on Freeport Road in an SUV around 10 a.m. when he reportedly stopped at a stop sign and then entered the intersection. His SUV was struck on the passenger side by a westbound tractor-trailer driven by a 51-year-old from Utica. The Moline man was taken by ambulance to OSF Saint Katharine Medical Center in Dixon with non-life threatening injuries. The Utica man was evaluated at the scene and declined further medical treatment. The SUV driver was cited for failure to stop at an intersection.
