Midway Runway Closed For Safety Repairs

CHICAGO –  A runway at Chicago Midway International Airport is closed for safety repairs after recent aircraft activity caused damage near the departure end.  The Chicago Department of Aviation says the closure could lead to flight delays and cancellations depending on airline schedules and weather conditions.  Officials say wind direction could also affect how the airport’s other runways are used.  The repair work is expected to be completed next month.
