RMU Warns Customers of Utility Rebate Scam 

ROCHELLE — Rochelle Municipal Utilities is warning customers about a mailing offering a Rochelle Utility Customer Service Rebate. The mailing asks for bank card information in exchange for a credit on a utility account. RMU says it will never ask for bank card information through a rebate mailing. Customers who receive the notice should not provide personal or financial information and should contact RMU directly with questions about the mailing.
