SYCAMORE — A 48-year-old Lombard woman is facing DUI, improper lane usage, and failure-to-reduce-speed charges after her SUV left the roadway on Perry Road near Howison Road Friday evening. According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, her SUV traveled roughly 400 feet in a ditch before striking the ditch at Howison Road, becoming airborne, and hitting the ground, causing disabling damage. The vehicle came to rest about 335 feet east of Howison Road. The driver, Audrey M. Dvorak, was transported to Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital for treatment of reportedly serious injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
