Knights of Columbus to Host First Responder Pig Roast in DeKalb

DEKALB — The DeKalb Knights of Columbus Council 717 will host its 43rd Annual DeKalb County First Responder Appreciation Pig Roast on Thursday, July 16, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1336 East Lincoln Highway. Dinner will be served from 5 to 6:30 p.m., followed by live music from the Wildwood Country Band from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Police officers and firefighters from across DeKalb County will receive a complimentary pulled pork dinner in recognition of their service. The public is also invited to attend. Pulled pork dinners with smoked macaroni and cheese and baked beans will be available for dine in or carry out for $20. Proceeds and donations will help support the event and provide meals for first responders.
