SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Natural Resources has announced key hunting dates for December including the second firearm deer season from December 4-7, muzzleloader deer season from December 12-14, and various turkey, waterfowl, and furbearer seasons throughout the month. The spring turkey second lottery opens December 12 for Illinois residents and non-residents with one application allowed per person.
