MACHESNEY PARK — About 160 soldiers from the Illinois Army National Guard 725th Transportation Company based in Machesney Park have returned from a deployment to US European Command after completing more than 93 missions and delivering more than 2.1 million gallons of fuel between October 2024 and September 2025. State military leaders say the unit also supported two multinational exercises, transported ammunition, and earned top recognition within its battalion. The soldiers were honored during a Dec. 13 welcome home ceremony at Harlem High School, which also included awards and a change of command.
