ROCHELLE – The average price for regular unleaded gasoline in Illinois fell three cents over the past week to $4.65 per gallon, though high crude oil costs continue to prevent significant financial relief for drivers. Drivers across northern Illinois are paying slightly below the state average, with Ogle County at $4.52, Lee County at $4.53, and DeKalb County at $4.60 per gallon. Motorists continue to face elevated expenses at the pump nationwide, as the national average sits at $4.28 per gallon and remains more than a dollar higher than prices recorded one year ago.
