Illinois Farm Bureau Accepting Grant Applications For Rural Projects

BLOOMINGTON — The Illinois Farm Bureau is accepting applications for its 2025-26 Rural Development Grant Program, offering $120,000 to support projects that strengthen rural communities across the state. Applications are open through December 1st. The program, now in its third year, has previously provided $130,000 in funding for efforts such as economic development, infrastructure, emergency services, and community growth, with an additional $20,000 contribution from COUNTRY Financial this year. Up to 20% of the 2026 grant pool will be set aside for emergency services. Interested organizations can apply through their county Farm Bureau offices, and recipients will be announced by February 20th, 2026.
