Illinois Extends Health Insurance Marketplace Enrollment Deadline to Jan. 31

SPRINGFIELD – The Get Covered Illinois division of the state’s Department of Insurance has again extended the deadline for residents to enroll in health insurance through the state marketplace. Illinoisans now have until Jan. 31 to apply and enroll in coverage. The state’s previous deadlines were Dec. 15 and Dec. 31. Get Covered Illinois said in November that Illinoisans enrolling in state-based coverage could expect an average 78% increase in monthly premiums for 2026.
