Illinois Accountability Commission Launches Public Submission Portal for Operation Midway Blitz

CHICAGO – The Illinois Accountability Commission has launched a new process for individuals who witnessed or experienced potential misconduct by federal agents during Operation Midway Blitz to submit video or written information to the Commission. The submission portal allows people who cannot attend hearings to provide a public record that can be used in investigations and accountability efforts. Information can be submitted through ilac.illinois.gov/interest-form, and individuals can expect follow-up within five to seven business days. All submissions may be subject to Illinois public records laws. The Commission, an independent body established by executive order, is reviewing federal law enforcement operations in Illinois and will issue an interim report by January 31, 2026, with a final report due April 30, 2026.
