IDPH Urges Residents To Take Preventive Measures At Flu Rates Rise

SPRINGFIELD –  The Illinois Department of Public Health is urging residents to take precautions against the spread of the flu and other seasonal respiratory illnesses.  Officials say flu activity in the state has climbed to “Very High” in recent days, while COVID-19 rates have climbed to “Moderate” levels in Illinois.  The IDPH recommends getting immunized, washing your hands frequently with soap and water, staying home when you are ill, cover coughs and minimize close contact with sick people.
