SYCAMORE — Hy-Vee in Sycamore will partner with the DeKalb County Marine Corps League #847 to host a 24-hour Toys for Tots collection from 3 p.m. Friday, November 14, through 3 p.m. Saturday, November 15, at 2700 DeKalb Avenue. The community is encouraged to drop off new, unwrapped toys to help local families in need this Christmas. A Marine Corps flag will fly over the donation site, where volunteers will collect toys throughout the event, rain or shine.
Hy-Vee Community Engagement Manager Gus Guevara said the effort reflects Hy-Vee’s commitment to the community, adding, “We’ll be out there 24 hours, no matter the weather — rain, snow, or sleet — gladly accepting donations to help the kids in the county.”
