KINGSTON — A 38-year-old Kingston man was arrested after a search warrant led authorities to recover stolen property, drugs, and a suspected explosive device at a home on Hagen Drive. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said deputies searched the residence at 33462 Hagen Drive after receiving a tip about stolen items. Investigators recovered several stolen items, a large quantity of a controlled substance, and what appeared to be a homemade explosive device. The Kane County Bomb Squad was called to safely remove the device. James J. Hall was taken into custody and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He was taken to the DeKalb County Jail where he remains after being denied pre-trial release Monday afternoon.
